Hyderabad, Jan 17 : The Hyderabad police have arrested 15 more people in connection with sensational kidnap of three businessmen brothers in the city earlier this month.
Those arrested included an event manager who provided 20 men for execution of the crime. Police Commissioner Anjani Kumar announced the arrests at a news conference on Sunday.
The arrested include two men who wore khaki uniform to pose as cops and threatened Praveen Kumar, Sunil Kumar and Naveen Kumar while kidnapping them from their residence in Bowenpalli on January 5.

HYDERABAD: Bowenpally police on Saturday arrested 15 more persons in connection with kidnap case where former TDP minister Bhuma Akhila Priya is the main accused.
Interesting details are coming forth from the investigation of the kidnap case, where Praveen Rao and his two brothers, said to be closely related to the Telangana CM KCR s PA, were kidnapped in a rather dramatic way on January 6 in connection with a land dispute in Hafeezpet in Hyderabad.
With these arrests the total number of people arrested so far has gone up to 19 including the TDP leader. Police say that nine more people are to be arrested.

Bhuma Akhila Priya
Hyderabad– Former Andhra Pradesh minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, the main accused in the kidnapping of three businessmen in Hyderabad, was sent back to jail after her three-day police custody ended Thursday.
Police produced her before a magistrate at his residence after medical examination at the Primary Health Centre in Begumpet and also at Gandhi Hospital. Various tests, including for Covid-19, were conducted at the two facilities.
The Telugu Desam Party leader was subsequently shifted back to Chanchalguda Jail. Her fresh bail petition is likely to come up for hearing on Saturday.
Meanwhile, police is understood to have gathered key information from Akhila Priya about the kidnapping. She denied involvement in the case but the investigators placed before her the evidence gathered so far.
