In a bid to create a Covid-free campus, PU promoted vaccination of not just university staff members and students but even parents and relatives of students, officials said.
VADODARA: City-based Parul University (PU) on Tuesday said that 82% of its staff and 70% of its students have been vaccinated ahead of July 15 when colleges and universities will reopen for offline classes.
In a bid to create a Covid-free campus, PU promoted vaccination of not just university staff members and students but even parents and relatives of students, officials said.
“We have been regularly monitoring and updating records of registrations and vaccinations of all stakeholders and providing them guidance,” said PU president Dr Devanshu Patel, who was the first one to take the shot at the campus.

Vadodara: The heaps of garbage lying unattended on prominent industrial units and education institutes in Waghodiya and nearby areas would leave visitors with a very pathetic impression of the city’s hygiene standards.
And what’s more, the collection has been rotting there for several months now, raising a stink on the authorities’ apathy towards these areas. The area is outside the Vadodara city limits and hence there is no system of garbage disposal.
Till Waghodiya, several units of prominent industrial houses exist along with the Parul University and Sumandeep Vidyapith campuses. From employees and workers of the units to their top bosses, students, teachers and important visitors all use the road.
