Wednesday is the Southeast Iowa Superconference boys golf meet at Sheaffer Memorial Golf Course in Fort Madison and five KCII-area teams will be in attendance.
The Hillcrest Academy Ravens come into the day off of a 209 to 251 dual win over Columbus last week where they were led by medalist Jace Rempel’s 44. For the year the Ravens have a team average of 212 per nine holes led by Luke Schrock at 48.
Winfield-Mt. Union was also a winner last time out, beating Louisa-Muscatine at Cedar Crest in Columbus Junction last week 177 to 224 behind Brady Loyd’s 41. For the season the Wolves are led by Loyd with a 91 average per 18-holes. As a team the Wolves are shooting an average of 382 in 18-hole tournaments.
The Hillcrest Academy boys golf team is back on the links Monday when they travel to Heritage Oaks outside of Mediapolis to take on the Bulldogs. In their most recent action, the Ravens finished second in a quadrangular to MEPO at Blue Top Ridge on Thursday, while beating Highland and Lone Tree. On the season, the Ravens are led by London Schrock with a 46 average per nine holes. He also has the low round for Hillcrest on the year at 44. Mediapolis is led on the season by Tyler Samuel with his 43 average, and low round of 43 on the season to lead the Bulldogs. Action starts tonight at 4p.m. at Heritage Oaks.
The Hillcrest Academy boys golf team continued their hot start to the season Thursday at Heritage Oaks in Wapello. The Ravens took down the Indians on their home course by a 219-226 score. The Ravens swept individual honors with Luke Schrock named medalist with his low round of 47. London Schrock was medalist runner-up with a round of 48. Other Hillcrest scores included Jace Rempel 56, Josiah Beachy 68 and Alex Niemeyer 69. Hillcrest will next be on the course Saturday when they travel back to Heritage Oaks for the Mediapolis Tournament.
