Zollie B. Stiefel, 85, of Chattanooga died on Friday, February 5, 2021, at Life Care Center of Red Bank.
He was born on November 7, 1935, in Section, Alabama to the late Augusta “Gus” and Hattie Stiefel.
He retired from the Army as a master sergeant after serving 20 years (Special Forces, 82
nd Airborne, and 101st Airborne) with a tour in Korea and three tours in Vietnam. Following his military career, he was an ROTC instructor in the Hamilton County School System for over 20 years. Line dancing was his passion following retirement, and he enjoyed teaching numerous classes in the area.

David Gibson
David Leon Gibson, 63, of Ringgold, Georgia, died peacefully on February 2, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born on April 10, 1957, and was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Kellie Louise, from a previous marriage; his beloved sister Charlotte (Gibson) Wade; his grandparents, Dee Gibson and Sarah Cantrell and Clyde and Mabel Harrell; uncles Quinton and William Gibson; and aunt Freda Browning.
Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Karen (Pryor) Gibson; children, Shellie Tolbert (Jim) of Akron, OH and Quinton Gibson of Ringgold, GA; parents, Leon and Thelma (Harrell) Gibson of Rossville, GA; sisters, Theresa (Tommy) Sisk of Ringgold, GA and Shari (Barry) Pagett of Xenia, OH; brothers-in-law Danny Pryor of Chattanooga, TN and James Wade of Chickamauga, GA; nephew, Bryan (Amy) Sisk of Rossville, GA; niece, Laura (Jason) Carter of Xenia, OH; and great nephews

Roy Dean Brookshire
Roy Dean Brookshire, 82, was surrounded by family when he passed into the presence of the Lord on January 29, 2021, at Hospice of Chattanooga.
Roy was born to Joseph and Relia Moore Brookshire on May 1, 1938, in Elizabethton, Tn. He met his wife of 57 years, Joyce Trivett, in the second grade in Piney Flats, Tn., and they were happily married in November 1957. The newlyweds spent their honeymoon in Chattanooga, unaware at the time that it would later become their home of more than 50 years.
Roy and Joyce made their first home in Washington, D.C., where Roy worked for the Navy Department from 1956 to 1960. He attended George Washington University before moving to Bristol, Tenn., where he graduated from ETSU with a B.S. in accounting in 1963. Visitation will be Friday, January 29, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady.
A funeral service will be Saturday, January 30, at 2:00 pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Brady. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.
