In a joint statement Balbir Sidhu, Vijay Inder Singla, Bharat Bhushan Ashu and Gurpreet Singh Kangar said that Mr. Sidhu’s targeted attacks on Captain Amarinder over the past several days were an invitation for disaster for the Congress.
Not ruling out a collusion between Mr. Sidhu and State opposition parties, such as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) or the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), the Ministers said, “It was quite possible that Sidhu’s targeted attacks on the Chief Minister were instigated by the AAP or BJP leaders to create problems in the Punjab Congress to further their electoral agenda in the State. This manner in which Sidhu had launched the offensive against the State government, particularly Captain Amarinder, suggested a conspiracy against the Chief Minister.”

Chandigarh, May 12 : Protesting strongly against his unwarranted belligerence against Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, more Punjab ministers on Wednesday joined the state Congress leaders seeking strong disciplinary action by the party high command against legislator Navjot Sidhu.
Sidhu s provocative and targeted attacks on Amarinder Singh over the past several days were an invitation for disaster for the Congress, said ministers Balbir Sidhu, Vijay Inder Singla, Bharat Bhushan Ashu and Gurpreet Singh Kangar, not ruling out collusion between Sidhu and state opposition parties, such as Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) or Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

Four Punjab ministers sought the suspension of Congress leader Navjot Singh Sidhu from the party today for repeatedly targeting Chief Minister Amarinder Singh, alleging that the Amritsar East MLA s attacks might be instigated by the Aam Aadmi Party or the BJP.
The RBI had extended the CCL of Rs 2,953.46 crore till the end of May.
Over 125 lakh metric tonne wheat has been procured in Punjab so far in the ongoing rabi marketing season. An amount of Rs 21,472 crore has been paid to the farmers so far, Chief Minister Amarinder Singh said on Friday. “I am happy to share that despite the challenge of #COVID-19, we have procured more than 125 Lakh MT wheat till date and paid Rs 21,472 crore to our farmers,” Singh said in a tweet.
He further said, “Our procurement agencies are working hard to ensure timely lifting and payment.”
