The made-in-India mobile game made it to news headlines for the first time back in September 2020 when actor Akshay Kumar shared a poster for the game soon after the Indian government banned PUBG Mobile in the country. Touted as an alternative PUBG Mobile, FAU-G is developed by nCore games, a Bengaluru-based publisher, and is backed by Vishal Gondal and Akshay Kumar.
