Meliá Hotels International began to vaccinate its employees in Punta Cana, in a process coordinated with the Public Health Department.
Starting with those who provide services at the Paradisus Palma Real hotel, 370 employees of the group in the Dominican Republic were vaccinated this Sunday, although they expect to receive up to 800 vaccinations a day, with the inoculation of the first dose to be completed next Wednesday. The second and final dose of the vaccine - supplied by Sinnovac - is scheduled for 25 May, after which all of the Group s 2,200 employees at the destination will have been immunised.

On Sunday, April 25, 370 employees of
Paradisus Palma Real received their first dose, with the goal of vaccinated 800 people per day to complete all first doses by Wednesday, May 5. The second and final dose of the vaccine, supplied by
Sinnovac, is scheduled for May 25. After which all 2,200 company employees in the Dominican Republic will have been vaccinated.

Meliá Hotels International
has announced that it will offer free on-site COVID antigen testing for all guests, in its ten hotels in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, that are required to present documented results prior to entering their country of residence.
Participating hotels include Paradisus Playa Del Carmen, Paradisus Cancun, Paradisus Los Cabos, ME Cabo, Meliá Cozumel, Meliá Puerto Vallarta The Grand Reserve at Paradisus Palma Real, Paradisus Palma Real, Meliá Caribe Beach Resort and Meliá Punta Cana Beach Resort.
Guests will be able to coordinate and schedule their COVID-19 test at the hotel check-in process. All tests will be required to take place 72 hours prior to departure for results to be available on the day of return (applicable only to reservations of a minimum of three nights). If any guest’s country of residence requires a PCR test, the resort will arrange all logistics and schedule with local testing sites.
