Thursday marked the eighth anniversary of the bombings at the Boston Marathon finish line.
April 15 is now recognized as One Boston Day to honor the victims, survivors and first responders who rushed to the scene that afternoon.
There were no public events to mark the anniversary because of the pandemic, but there was a moment of silence at City Hall at 2:39 p.m., the moment the first bomb exploded in 2013.

Red Sox Nike City Connect jerseys: Would you pay $435 for a new Boston Marathon-inspired Sox uniform?
Updated 11:52 AM;
Nike gained a lot of attention earlier this week when the company combined two of Boston’s most prized possessions to create a new baseball uniform: The Red Sox and the Marathon.
The “Nike City Connect Series” jerseys will be worn on April 17 and 18 against the White Sox and they’re are made up of the marathon’s traditional yellow and blue color scheme. The Red Sox will wear “B Strong” jerseys on Patriots’ Day like they have every year since 2013.
Fans can buy replicas starting at around $75 for youth sizes. However, the die-hard fans that like the flashy new color scheme will have to shell out about $435 for the authentic version of the new uni.
