The road will be closed from May 5-25 to reconstruct the intersection, the city said. Rio Drive lies west of John Wayne Parkway and east of Roosevelt Ave. Edison Road will remain open, but traffic will be shifted onto the newly paved lanes during construction. Crews will be milling and removing old pavement and repaving the westbound lanes of Edison Road (on the north side of the street) requiring the Rio Drive closure.
