KSW 59 To Feature Epic Heavyweight Clash
MMA fans should buckle in for what is shaping up to be a contest of mammoth proportions. Polish MMA promotion KSW is known for putting on some of the biggest spectacles in MMA. However, the main event of KSW 59: Fight Code, scheduled to take place on March 20. looks set to raise the bar even higher.
After overcoming bodybuilder Erko Jun in the second round of their KSW 51 clash, Polish strongman and cult figure Mariusz Pudzianowski returns to the cage to take face Sengal’s Serigne Ousmane Dia, aka ‘Bombardier.’
The 6’6″ African powerhouse tips the scales at 308 lbs and is a Senegalese heavyweight wrestling champion. After taking up MMA in 2018, ‘Bombardier has racked up two straight first-round TKO wins.

An ethical dilemma is coming to a boil in Georgia: Who should be at the front of the line to get the COVID-19 vaccine?
Health care workers and long-term care staff and residents were first on the list when the shots arrived in Georgia in mid-December. Later that month, Gov. Brian Kemp and Department of Public Health Commissioner Dr. Kathleen Toomey announced people 65 and older, law enforcement and first responders would be added to the list.

The last time
Kyoji Horiguchi fought was August 18, 2019. He had lost the non-title match to Kai Asakura. We were supposed to get the rematch that year, but then Horiguchi suffered an ACL injury. When the rematch got booked finally, there were many questions. How would Horiguchi look post-surgery? Would he make the same mistakes in the 2019 match? Would he be slower? We got the answer to those questions in less than three minutes.

I’m sure you all remember the earlier days of Jiu-Jitsu. The biggest selling point at the time was that a smaller man could defeat a bigger man using pure technique.
This was the first decade of MMA before BJJ hit the mainstream. Pre-berimbolo, pre-rashguards, pre-Danaher Death Squad. Moves back then were more basic and practical, and less flashy and sporty.
Outside of the Gracies, only a handful of fighters incorporated the art into their arsenal of weapons. One of them was Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, a heavyweight out of Bahia, Brazil, and the perfect embodiment of early 2000s jiu-jitsu. And that skill set was put to the test when he faced Bob Sapp at PRIDE Shockwave in 2002.
