Constitutional Carry law goes into effect July 1
The constitutional carry law allows most adults to have a gun without a permit. However, many gun advocates say getting a permit to carry actually has its benefits. Instructors at Royal Range USA say there are still more things to learn about the new law and gun safety.

NASHVILLE, Tenn (WTVF) â Beginning July 1, there is no longer a requirement to go through the permit training course to carry a handgun in Tennessee.
The new law allows for both open and concealed carrying of handguns for people 21 and older without a permit as well as military members 18 to 20 years old.
