Senior CPI (M) leader s house ransacked by miscreants in Tripura
The leader of Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M), Pabitra Kar’s resident was ransacked by miscreants on Sunday, damaging bikes and party vehicles.

Agartala: A gang of miscreants had allegedly ransacked the residence of state committee member of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI-M) and secretary of the West Tripura district committee, Pabitra Kar, at Khayerpur on Sunday.
Kar was a senior leader, former deputy speaker of the Tripura assembly and former minister of the previous left front government had alleged that the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) backed the miscreants.

Three journalists were allegedly assaulted when they were they went to cover a clash between ruling BJP and opposition CPI-M workers at Khayerpur, about 10 km from capital Agartala. Three complaints have been filed so far but the culprits are yet to be arrested.

AGARTALA: Three local media journalists were attacked when they went to cover a clash between ruling BJP and opposition CPI-M at Khayerpur, 10 km from here, police said on Monday.
The scribes, identified as Prangopal Acharya of Syandan Patrika, Pintu Pal of Rising Tripura TV channel and Biswajit Debnath of Mrinalini ENN TV channel were attacked on Sunday, sub-divisional police officer of the new capital complex area Priya Madhuri Majumder said.

Agartala, Dec 20 : At least 20 Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPI (M)) workers were injured on Sunday after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers attacked them when the Left party was organising a commemorative meeting in Western Tripura in memory of the 30 martyred farmers, Left party leaders claimed.
The ruling BJP rejecting the accusations said that the opposition CPI (M) leaders and workers are trying to create violent activities, which they did in Tripura when the Left parties were in power for 25 years.
The BJP claimed their eight partymen were injured in CPI (M) workers attack on Sunday.

At least 10 people were injured and a dozen vehicles damaged when BJP workers allegedly attacked members of the Tripura unit of All India Kisan Sabha (AIKS) during a Homage Day programme at Khairpur near State capital Agartala.
The AIKS had organised “Shraddhanjali Divas” across the country to pay tributes to the 33 farmers it said had died during the ongoing farmers’ agitation at Delhi against the Centre’s agriculture marketing laws.
