Newton County Sheriff Robert Burby says that one person has been arrested and deputies have a warrant for a second person in connection with the recent theft of three all-terrain vehicles. Burby said earlier in the month that two utility vehicles, commonly known as a UTV, and a 4-wheeler were all taken in the Pine Grove and Trout Creek Communities. Later, on July 13th, deputies recovered both of the UTV’s in the Bon Wier area and one suspect was arrested. Burby said Friday that the suspect who was arrested was 17-year-old Harvey Deon Davis, Jr., of Newton, and he has been charged with Theft of Property. Burby said Davis is currently out of jail on a $7,500.00 bond.
