On May 15, 2021, the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) issued an updated Gatherings and Face Mask Order that follows the CDC s Guidance for Fully Vaccinated People released on May 13, 2021, which says that fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks indoors or outdoors. The May 15 MDHHS Order continues to impose gathering restrictions and requires contact tracing for particular gatherings, but relaxes the face mask requirement. Specifically, there is no longer a requirement in Michigan to wear face masks at outdoor gatherings. Additionally, fully vaccinated persons, defined as persons for whom at least two weeks has passed after receiving the final dose of an FDA-approved or authorized COVID-19 vaccine, do not have to wear face masks when participating in indoor gatherings. Persons who are not fully vaccinated are still required to wear face masks at indoor gatherings unless one of the limited exceptions applies.

The department released the memo for Force Health Protection Guidance (Supplement 16) Revision 1 – Department of Defense Guidance for Deployment and Redeployment of Individuals and Units During the Coronavirus Disease 2019 Pandemic.
This memorandum rescinds and replaces reference (a) and provides updated force health protection (FHP) deployment and redeployment guidance for Service members in a title 10 or title 32 duty status and DOD civilian employees deploying within and outside the United States during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, consistent with references (b), (c), (d), and (e).

The U.S. National Security Agency is offering operational technology security guidance for the Defense Department as well as third-party military contractors and others in the wake of the SolarWinds supply chain attack.
In the warning, the NSA notes that a stand-alone, unconnected, or “islanded, OT system is safer from outside threats than one connected to an enterprise IT system with external connectivity. Each connection between an IT system and an isolated OT system increases the attack surface, so administrators should ensure only the most imperative IT-OT connections are allowed and that these are hardened to the greatest extent possible to prevent a possible attack.
