VT: Update from 2021. The new scandal at the Air Force Academy, not just grads at the insurrection but a Trump insider still acting as unit commander, brings back our last attempt by insurrectionists, fake Christian evangelists who are part of the Satanic organization that took over the Air Force as early as 1982.
This is a needed history lesson, first published by the Russian Academy of Science in a peer reviewed journal:

[ Editor’s Note: You just can’t make this stuff up folks. Right wing email lists are being worked to spin the continued cleanup of the nuclear command, for the most obvious security reasons, as some sort of anti-military Obama’s revenge on the Air Force.
Saddam Hussein.
They helped sell the Bush Administration’s war to a fearful public, and nearly every single one of their predictions turned out to be untrue: Saddam did not have stockpiles of weapons of mass destruction; Americans were not greeted as liberators; the insurgency was not in its last throes; rebuilding Iraq would cost more than $1.7 billion; Iraq did not help al-Qaeda attack the U.S. on 9/11, and the mission was not accomplished by May 2001.
Did any of these notable figures lose their job or leave their post in shame? No, they continued in their careers or received eventual promotions either in the media or in government.

It sounds like Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is finally realizing that being a Never Trumper can have very bad consequences.
Well, gee, ya think? We told her so, but she didn’t listen. She was so concerned about “mean tweets” and whatever the latest media cooked up outrage against President Donald Trump was that she couldn’t see the forest for the trees. The “forest” that was clear to see: what a horrible person for our country Joe Biden would be on basic policy.
I reported earlier this month how the Chinese and the Russians are making moves now to test Biden because of the perception he is weak and unfortunately, he’s failing the test.

The program may have ultimately failed, but laser research continues.
Here s What You Need to Know: The Air Force wanted lasers to shoot down ICBMs.
Missile defense is really hard. It has been compared to hitting a bullet with another bullet, and is inherently unreliable. According to Scientific American, the U.S. Ground-based Midcourse Defense ”remains the sole system designed to counter intercontinental ballistic missiles. Its 44 silo-based interceptors in Alaska and California are designed to be guided by space, ground and sea-based sensors to collide with an incoming warhead and destroy it with the force of impact.”
The GMD system has a poor track record. “Only about half of the 18 intercept tests since 1999 successfully destroyed their targets, and the test record has not improved with time: only two of the last five tests were successful and GMD has still has not been tested under operationally realistic conditions.” Not exactly reassuring.
