AMMAN Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Thursday attended the national ceremony held on the occasion of Arbor Day, which falls annually on January 15 in Jordan.
The ceremony, organised by the Ministry of Agriculture, was held in Yajouz forest and plant nursery, the Jordan News Agency, Petra reported.

AMMAN Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Sunday met with Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and discussed bilateral relations and regional developments, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
In a meeting attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi and Italian Ambassador to Jordan Fabio Cassese, Khasawneh stressed the depth of ties between the two countries and the importance of furthering them politically and economically.

AMMAN MPs on Thursday, for the third consecutive day, continued their deliberations over the government’s policy statement, which Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh presented to Parliament on Sunday.
MP Taleb Sarairah said that it is not possible to hold the government accountable given that its statement lacked time-based executive programmes and performance indicators, criticising the absence of details on investments that are to be undertaken under the envisioned investment sovereign fund the government plans to establish, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

AMMAN Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh on Thursday met with Lower House’s Decision bloc, headed by MP Merza Boulad.
The talks were part of meetings held by the government with parliamentary blocs, before presenting the Cabinet’s policy statement to the House during the confidence vote session scheduled for Sunday.
During the meeting, the premier said that the Cabinet statement includes the main aspects that the government will implement, which have been outlined in the Letter of Designation.
