Uniindia: Dhaka, May 12 (UNI) For the Bangladeshis stranded in India, three more land ports would be opened for entry by Bangladeshis from India into Bangladesh from May 16 in addition to Benapole, Burimari and Akhaura, Bangladesh Government said.

Bangladeshis stranded in India may return via three more land ports Diplomatic Correspondent 12th May, 2021 11:12:19 Considering the suffering of the Bangladeshis still stranded in India, the government has decide to open three more land ports for entry by Bangladeshis from May 16 in addition to Benapole, Burimari and Akhaura. The new land ports are Darshana, Hili and Sonamasjid. The decision was taken on Wednesday (May 12 May) at an inter-ministerial meeting chaired by the Foreign Secretary. It was attended by High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India, Secretary of Security Services Division, Ministry of Home Affairs; Secretary (East), Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Additional Secretary, Cabinet Division; Additional Secretary, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and representatives of MoFA, MoHA, AFD, BGB, relevant District Administrations and Bangladesh Missions in India.
