Weapons, drugs and stolen property seized from Kelowna residence
The Kelowna RCMP’s Community Safety Unit (CSU) executed a search warrant at a central Kelowna home last week.
Officers descended upon the residence in the 1300 block of Highland Drive South, which was related to an active investigation into suspected drug trafficking, on Thursday, Feb. 11.
They found and seized illicit drugs like fentanyl, methamphetamine and cannabis inside the home, but that wasn’t all.
“Our officers also seized firearms, weapons and numerous items used for the production of illicit drugs,” explained Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy.
“During the search, we recovered numerous stolen items, including three high-end bicycles worth approximately $15,000.”

Prince George RCMP have begun increasing their focus targeting those responsible for street level drug trafficking and the associated violence.
Police have been collaborating with partner agencies such as the Uniformed Gang Enforcement Team in an effort to curb violence in the city. One thing police have noted is the increase in firearms seized during this enforcement.
RCMP seized a handgun during a robbery investigation at a residence on the 1600 block of 11th Ave. RCMP also seized an air gun during a complaint of non-compliance at the Ramada Hotel at 444 George St. Police also found large quantities of ammunition stashed in the hotel room. In a media release RCMP say, ‘it is nearly impossible for police to determine that it’s an air gun at first glance.’
