A Wayne father beat his 4-week-old son, leaving him with serious injuries, authorities charged.
Slobodan Todoric, a 30-year-old Spring Valley native, was released with pre-trial monitoring, among other conditions, following a first appearance before a judge in Central Judicial Processing Court in Paterson on Tuesday.
It began with the unresponsive infant being taken by ambulance to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center on May 31, 2020, Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes and Wayne Police Chief Jack McNiff said in a joint release.
Emergency room doctors discovered external and internal injuries, they said Tuesday.
Special Victims Unit detectives from Valdes’s office interviewed several witnesses before arresting Todoric on Monday, the prosecutor said.
79-year-old woman physically, sexually assaulted inside Hacienda Heights home

Police were investigating after a 79-year-old woman was sexually assaulted at her Hacienda Heights home.
HACIENDA HEIGHTS, Calif. - Investigators with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department sought the public’s help finding the man who broke into a 79-year-old woman’s Hacienda Heights home and proceeded to brutally beat and sexually assault her before burglarizing her home.
The horrific incident happened during the early morning hours of Sunday, May 2 in the 1300 block of Kwis Avenue, located near the intersection of South Hacienda Boulevard and Gale Ave.

Diana Camacho, 52, of Jersey City – an employee of the Kiddie Academy in Hoboken – has been charged with second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, Suarez said in a statement.
Camacho was arrested yesterday at approximately 4:45 p.m. at the Hudson County
Prosecutor’s Office after she turned herself in.
The HCPO Special Victims Unit was contacted by the Division of Child Protection and Permanency, Institutional Abuse Investigations Unit about possible abuse by Camacho, and as a result, launched an investigation.

According to authorities, Milania Miller was last seen on Sunday in the 5800 block of West Cortland. Miller may be with her grandmother, who according to police does not have parental rights.
