Subhead: Seminar to discuss how strangulation can lead to homicide
MACOMB – Strangulation is a serious and sometimes deadly form of domestic violence. Abusers who strangle their victims are more likely to escalate their violent behavior and potentially kill their victim(s) or law enforcement officers. As part of their awareness campaign, Western Illinois Regional Council-Community Action Agency (WIRC-CAA) Victim Services is now offering critical strangulation training to local law enforcement officers and other interested organizations.
