AMPANG: A total of 75 police personnel and officers have been deployed at Merpati (A) Apartments in Pandan Indah, which has been placed under the enhanced movement control order (EMCO) from July 18-31.
Ampang Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohamad Farouk Eshak said 32 military personnel and officers and four Rela members would assist efforts to enforce the EMCO here. We have placed four checkpoints around the three blocks of the apartments to watch over movement of residents, he said at the apartment on Sunday (July 18).
He added that police would patrol the area regularly to ensure that no one enters or leaves

KUALA LUMPUR: Five Ramadan bazaars at Light Rail Transit (LRT) stations in Selangor will be closed starting this Saturday following the implementation of the Movement Control Order (MCO) in six districts in the state.
Prasarana Malaysia Berhad (Prasarana), in a statement today, said the five bazaars were at the Kelana Jaya, Glenmarie, Pandan Indah, Cempaka and Putra Heights stations which started operations on April 13.
“The bazaar at the Cempaka LRT station had been closed earlier on May 1 after the location was listed among the high-risk areas based on the report issued by the Hotspot Identification for Dynamic Engagement (HIDE),” the statement read.
