WADDINGTON, N.Y. (WWNY) - Waddington town supervisor Alex Hammond is running for reelection.
A news release says Hammond will seek the Democratic and Independent lines on the ballot this fall.
He was first elected in 2017 at the age of 21, becoming the youngest town supervisor in the state.
Hammond is a captain in the New York Army National Guard and is currently serving as the commander of the unit tasked to assist at the SUNY Potsdam vaccination site.

POTSDAM The SUNY Potsdam College Council will hold its second meeting of the 2020-21 academic year Friday, Dec. 11 at 10 a.m., via Zoom.
The meeting will stream live online at bit.ly/2K1D5Ff, and the public is invited to watch and comment.
College Council Chair June O Neill (Hon. 99) will open the meeting, followed by a report from President Dr. Kristin G. Esterberg.
There will be a presentation on the campus s response to COVID-19, and its planning for the spring semester.
The College Council will hear reports from the Student Government Association, the Faculty Senate, and the divisions of Academic Affairs, Business Affairs and Administration, Advancement, Enrollment Management, Student Affairs, and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.
