Legendary Calgary oilman and philanthropist Jim Gray says he has countless memories to hold on to as the Gray Family Eau Claire YMCA named after his family in 2015 shuts its doors permanently.
The downtown branch opened Oct. 17, 1988, and has contributed to the vibrancy of Calgary’s core in the 30-plus years since, said YMCA Calgary board chair Patricia White.
