JOHNSTOWN Mountain Valley Hospice of Gloversville has received a $14,800 donation from the local chapter of 100 Women Who Care, an organization of local philanthropists.
The gift is a result of a November 2020 online meeting where members learned that MVH is raising money to refurbish the Nancy Dowd Hospice Homepatient rooms, a unique eight-bed home for 24/7 care.
“We are so thrilled to receive this gift from our friends in the 100 Women Who Care organization. We have worked very hard to maintain the excellent level of care that we provide our patients and this will be a tremendous help, “said Kara Ulasewicz Travis, president and CEO of Mountain Valley Hospice.
