Former Boston University hockey player Travis Roy was known to Bostonians for his story and his philanthropy, but those close to Roy also knew him as a keeper of good friends and a fan of good IPAs.
Roy, who famously and tragically was paralyzed during his first shift for BUâs hockey team in 1995, died in October at the age of 45. At the time of his death, tributes to Roy poured in from all over the sports world. Now, a few months later, another tribute is being paid to him in the form of one of his favorite beverages.
According to Lewiston Police, officers were called to the area near Black Nose Spring Road where more than 30 plastic bottles were discovered with an unknown substance inside.

Two brothers hope to disrupt the home cleaning industry with a new product that eliminates the need for plastic bottles.
Mt Maunganui-based Nathan and Jacob Buchan have just launched Dazz New Zealand with a line of products they say will make a massive dent in the 1.7 billion bottles New Zealanders throw away every year. We were sick of seeing aisles at the supermarket lined with plastic bottles of cleaners used around the home, Jacob Buchan said.
