Michael J. Cassieri, 73, a United States Army veteran, who played and ran softball leagues on Staten Island in his youth and who worked for the New York Department of Sanitation, died March 9, 2021.
Angela Leotta, a native Staten Islander who had a 25-year career with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, was a member of the Grandmothers Club, the Travelers Club, and the Great Kills Swim Club, died March 10, 2021.
Francesco (Frank) Ragusa, 89, an avid soccer fan and local celebrity, he enjoyed walking on the South Beach Boardwalk and Hylan Boulevard, where he was known and greeted by all with a smile, died March 8, 2021.
OLIVE CHRISTINA DAVIS July 23, 1918 – Nov. 26, 2020
Olive Christina Davis passed away Nov. 26, 2020 at 102 years old. She was born in Etna, California on July 23, 1918 to Lawrence and Sadie Buchner. Olive married James Davis in March 1942 as a Navy bride during WWII. After living and working in the Sierras for several years, they moved to Oakdale in 1951 where Olive lived until 2014.
Olive worked for the Oakdale School District for 24 years as a cafeteria cook. She enjoyed spending time at the family cabin in Aspen Valley, as well as traveling, line dancing in a senior group and working on her numerous crafts. She was a hard worker, always had a positive attitude, a zest for life and a smile on her face.
