Mandy Moore shared that it would be hard to let go of her long-running primetime soap This Is Us on Friday after news of its cancellation became official.
The 37-year-old actress and singer shared a bittersweet Instagram post quoting Dan Fogelman, the creator of the series.
Mandy gushed that she would be soaking in every single moment of the series final 18 episodes, which will air in early 2022.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dan Fogelman’s acclaimed drama series
This Is Us starring Mandy Moore and Milo Ventimiglia will officially be concluding its run with the upcoming sixth season. The outlet’s sources note that NBC is currently planning to make an official announcement about the show’s ending this Friday, when they’ll reveal their fall schedule lineup for the upcoming 2021-2022 broadcast season. The series is currently airing its fifth season with the last two episodes set to debut this month.
This Is Us is a refreshingly honest and provocative series that follows a unique ensemble whose paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways. We find several of them share the same birthday, and so much more than anyone would expect.

Season 5 of This Is Us will be two episodes shorter than originally planned. The full season, which was to consist of 18 episodes, will now conclude after episode 16.
This information came to light at the close of the most recent episode of the hit NBC drama. A teaser trailer revealed that the show would return on May 18th for the final three episodes.
That makes a total of 16 new episodes during a season which faced many challenges during filming.
