County, city establish interlocal agreement

County, city establish interlocal agreement Potter County and the city of Amarillo have reached an agreement that would provide city emergency services personnel with an operational backup venue if needed.  During its virtual regular meeting, the Potter County Commissioners Court approved an interlocal agreement enabling the Potter County Sheriff s Office to provide the city of Amarillo access and usage of certain facilities under specified circumstances. This is basically just an agreement between us and the city in case something happens to the Simms Building - gas explosion, tornado, whatever, Potter County Sheriff Brian Thomas said. This gives them another place to be able to come and be able to run their dispatch center, as well as their EOC.
