–Travel Paso has launched its largest campaign to date across various platforms throughout California encouraging tourists to take a road trip to Paso Robles wine country this summer. Targeting the drive markets in Northern and Southern California, the campaign features several inspirational themes including family travel, girlfriends’ getaway, and wine country retreats.
Inaugural online auction supports the PRWCA Foundation
–The Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance (PRWCA) has completed the first Paso Robles Wine Country Virtual Auction, which began on Monday, May 10, and concluded on Sunday, May 16. This inaugural online auction supports the PRWCA Foundation, the non-profit organization that gives back through its scholarship program for high school seniors and supports the local community with charitable contributions.
A total of 23 auction lots, as well as donations, raised $72,000 for the PRWCA Foundation. This weeklong auction saw bids quickly come in for some of the anticipated items, which included the Saxum Current Release Portfolio lot as well as the French Family Affair package at Les Petites Canailles which brings the wine families of Clos Solène, Benom, and L’Aventure to the dinner table. Patrimony immersion: A rare double-magnum bottle (3L) of the 2017 Patrimony Estate Cabernet Sauvignon with an exclusive Mediterranean lunch, tasting, and vineyard tour at Daou Mountain for six people.
J. Lohr’s Urban Escape: Four-course dinner for six people at the exclusive private club, The Battery, in downtown San Francisco hosted by Cynthia Lohr, owner at J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines, and esteemed MS Christophe Tassan who expertly pairs the cuisine with J. Lohr library and small-lot, winery-exclusive wines.
Paris Valley Road Experience: Private five-course dinner for eight at the newly opened Paris Valley Road Estate Winery hosted by winemaker Doug Hidinger and exquisitely paired with Paris Valley Road wines by Chef Joe White.
