–On Thursday, Feb. 25, from 7-8 p.m., learn a new skill or improve your crafting abilities with the Paso Robles City Library’s online craft series! In keeping with February’s theme of Romance, this month’s hand sewing project uses simple sewing techniques and cute Valentine-themed fabric to create a colorful and useful heating pad to let your loved one know how much they mean to you. Thanks to a generous donation from local doTERRA representative Taryn Mohler, participants can also choose a scent (lavender, peppermint, or eucalyptus) to make this craft an extra special sensory experience.
Space is limited. Registration is required for all participants by Feb. 12 to receive craft kit materials and information about the Thursday, Feb. 25, 7 p.m. Zoom meet up. For ages 16+.
–In keeping with our January theme of friendship, the Paso Robles Library’s embroidery craft project for January, “If friends were flowers, I’d pick you,” would make a lovely gift for your BFF.
Using simple techniques such as the backstitch and satin stitch, you will create a colorful embroidery piece that can tell your friend how much they mean to you.
The class is happening on Jan. 28 from 7-8 p.m. on Zoom. Space is limited. The deadline to register is Jan. 16. Registration is required for each participant to receive craft kits and information about the Zoom meetup. For ages 16+. To register click here.
–The Paso Robles Library is open for grab-and-go service. Library staff is following strict guidelines to ensure safety by sanitizing work stations and common areas. All items in the library have been quarantined a minimum of four days (96 hours) before being checked in, shelved or delivered to patrons.
Face coverings are required and patrons are asked to maintain physical distancing while in the library. Visits are limited to 20 minutes, once per day. Library users are encouraged to browse collections online in advance for materials they wish to take home. Furnishings are unavailable for in-library reading or study and newspapers are unavailable for in-library usage.
