A Moss Point man has been arrested on two counts of commercial burglary.
Jackson County Sheriff Mike Ezell says 33-year-old Christopher Adam Stone is accused of burglarizing two churches in the Big Point area over the weekend. He is also a suspect in a home burglary in the same area.
Stone remains in jail without bond pending an initial court hearing.

JACKSON, Miss. (AP) A school board member in a Mississippi school district says he is planning to propose making COVID-19 vaccinations mandatory for all employees.
Natchez Adams School District board member Phillip West told The Natchez Democrat that the rise in delta variant cases throughout the state is “a public health issue that is becoming a public health crisis” and that “it’s our duty and responsibility to make sure we protect our students and employees.”
School for the Natchez Adams School District begins on Monday. West said he will speak on the proposal during a board meeting on Tuesday.

The City of Moss Point is now requiring a mask to enter any of their municipal buildings, City Hall, Public Works, Fire Department, Police Department, and all Recreation facilities, regardless of being vaccinated or not vaccinated.
The health and safety of our residents and employees is paramount. The city asks residents and businesses owners to still follow the recommended CDC and Department of Health Guidelines.
City Hall is open, but all visitors are required to wear a mask to enter the building and encouraged follow the recommended CDC guidelines. Please pay attention to posted signs on the doors when entering City Hall for directions.
