Bank holidays in May 2021: Banks will remain closed for 12 days; See full list 0 0 1 minute read According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday calendar list, all banks, whether private or public sector, will be closed for 12 days in May across the country. The COVID-19 epidemic has already forced banks to reduce working hours and employee attendance by up to 50%. These holidays have been notified by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) under three brackets – Negotiable Instruments Act, Holiday, Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday, and closure of bank accounts. Banks will remain closed on the second and fourth Saturdays and four Sundays in May as well. According to the new guidelines, banks will also operate from 10 am to 2 pm.
