A Michigan man is accused of sexually abusing a minor and also impregnating her.
36 year-old Charles A. Young of Bangor Township has been charged with multiple counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim 13 years-old or younger.
Investigators were alerted to the abuse about a month ago when medical staff discovered that a 13 year-old patient was pregnant during an appointment.
The girl told investigators that Charles A. Young had been abusing her since 2018.
Young appeared in Bay County District Court on April 13 for arraignment.
His bond was set at $500,000.
Young is scheduled for preliminary examination April 29.

BAY CITY, MI A Bangor Township man is accused of sexually assaulting a minor for years, impregnating her in the process.
Charles A. Young, 36, is charged with six counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct with a victim 13 or younger. The charge is punishable by up to life imprisonment, with a mandatory minimum 25-year sentence.
According to an affidavit authored by a Bay County Sheriff’s Office investigator, the case against Young began earlier this month when a 13-year-old girl attended a medical appointment for a health issue. Medical staff determined the girl was pregnant, the affidavit said.
