Machias Savings Bank on Thursday announced the final new appointment among four new regional senior vice presidents, part of a leadership restructuring unveiled last month to stay local while pursuing growth.
Jack Lufkin, previously with NBT Bank as vice president, senior commercial relationship manager, will serve as Machias Savings Bank s regional senior vice president for the southern market, which includes Cumberland County. He will oversee the region s commercial and retail banking teams.
Lufkin is treasurer of the Portland Regional Chamber of Commerce, whose board he has served on since 2007. He also served as president of the Portland Community Chamber from 2017-19.
James W. Sewall Co. names M. Nasir Shir director of geospatial services
James W. Sewall Co. has named
M. Nasir Shir the company’s new director of geospatial services. Shir will lead and work with Sewall’s geospatial team to diversify its clientele and acquire new projects involving geospatial technology, as well as participate in the quality assurance/quality control of geospatial data along with other members of the team. Shir brings with him over two decades of geographic information systems (GIS) experience, with his most recent position being the GIS manager for the city of Portland, which involved setting up, maintaining and upgrading GIS enterprise, hardware, software and servers, and building GIS applications. In his spare time, Shir volunteers with a wide variety of community and professional organizations and provides support to various immigrant community groups.
