Junior Wimbledon champion Mochizuki to make Davis Cup debut for Japan Thursday, 4 March 2021 Former junior world number one Shintaro Mochizuki is set to make his Davis Cup debut as Japan face Pakistan in the World Group I at the Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad. Seventeen-year-old Mochizuki, who won the junior men’s singles crown at Wimbledon in 2019, is set to team up with Yosuke Watanuki in the doubles on Saturday (March 6) when they are due to meet Aqeel Khan and Aisam Qureshi. Tomorrow will see Kaichi Uchida face Qureshi and Watanuki go up against Khan before the reverse singles a day later.

PSB shares Davis Cup Tie security plan ITF rules, regulations to be ensured in light of Covid-19 ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Ministry for Inter-Provincial Coordination (MIPC) was chaired by Pakistan Sports Board President Dr Fehmida Mirza to chalk out a comprehensive security plan and administrative arrangements for the upcoming Davis Cup Tie between Pakistan and Japan to be played on March 5 and 6 at Pakistan Sports Complex in Islamabad. Federal Minister for IPC Dr Fehmida welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of the Davis Cup Tie to be played in Pakistan as holding of any international sports event in the country helps build its soft image while also ushering in a conducive environment in the country that paves the way for holding other international events.
