Govt Renames EV Board to Pakistan Technology Development Board
The federal government has decided to rename the Electric Vehicle Development Board the ‘Pakistan Technology Development Board’, in consideration of the Engineering Development Board’s (EDB) limited capacity to deal with new technologies.
Sources told Propakistani that the decision was made during the last meeting on the formation of the Electric Vehicle Development Board held at the Ministry of Science and Technology under the chairmanship of the Federal Minister for Science and Technology (MoST), Chaudhry Fawad Hussain.

Pakistanis spend about 4% of household expenditure on cosmetic and personal care products such creams, soaps, hair dye and lipstick every year.
In Pakistan, such products are typically produced by small local manufacturers that are unauthorised and not following standard protocols.
Conducted by researchers in China and Pakistan, the review found high levels of heavy metals and chemicals in cosmetic products made by local manufacturers.

ISLAMABAD: The Council of Common Interests (CCI) is likely to approve the controversial Census-2017 at its meeting to be held on Wednesday (Jan 27) with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair.
The PM has called the 44th meeting of the CCI to discuss various issues, including the issue of notification of Census-2017 results.
The federal cabinet, after a lapse of three years, had approved the National Census with a dissenting note submitted by the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), one of the government’s allies.
The MQM has been raising its voice against the Census-2017 and delimitation of constituencies in Karachi.
