LONDON: Pakistani member of the Advisory Committee for BBC immigrants programme, Mr Mohammad Munir, walked out of its meeting in Birmingham last week in protest against the BBC’s refusal to conduct an impartial inquiry into the abusive statement against Pakistan Government made by Indian commentator Mahinder Kaul in a recent television programme. Mahinder Kaul, the Indian commentator, who used the word “bakwaas” concerning Pakistan Government’s statements drawing attention to the Indian aggressive attacks and intervention in East Pakistan appeared in yesterday’s [July 4] programme along with its British head, G. Hynes, to explain that he did not mean to injure the feelings of Pakistanis in Britain. He said that he was only quoting an Indian Government spokesman.

IGP urges ulema to promote peace July 3, 2021 PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police Moazzam Jah Ansari has asked religious scholars to promote peace, tranquility and brotherhood in the society. He was talking to a 15-member delegation of the ulema Council from Madrassa Haqqania Akora Khattak, which called on him at his office. Maulana Yousaf Shah led the delegation, said a handout. Other members of the delegation included Mufti Zafar Zaman Haqqani, Maulana Abdul Haseeb Haqqani, Maulana Sahib Hussain, Naveed Ahmad, Sarkani, Maulana Tayyab Qureshi, Maulana Bin Umar Abdul Aziz and Maulana Miraj-ud-Din Sarkai. The IGP said the ulema had played a pivotal role in the Pakistan Movement as well as the integrity of the country.

Walk-through history museum planned in H-8 - Newspaper

ISLAMABAD: The city managers have decided to set up a walk-through history museum at H-8 which will be inaugurated on Independence Day this year. The walk-through museum, which will have around two dozen pictures related to Pakistan Movement, will be set up near the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, where the national flag is already installed on a tallest poll. “We have a large abandoned open space near the national flag site. So, I have directed the concerned wing to set up a walk-through museum to highlight the struggle of our nation for creation of Pakistan,” said CDA Chairman Amer Ali Ahmed.
