Honourable Dimeji Bankole, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives is all set to tie the knot with Miss Aisha Shinkafi Saidu, daughter of Kebbi Governor, Atiku Bagudu on Friday 15 January 2020.
After divorcing his first wife in 2017, Bankole remained single as many ladies fought to try their luck with him.
The bride, a lawyer and graduate of the University of Hull in the UK, is a granddaughter of late Alh. Umaru Shinkafi, a political heavyweight and onetime head of Nigeria’s security organisation.
The Nation reports that the bride’s mother is Shinkafi’s daughter and a sister to the former Zamfara Governor, Aliyu Shinkafi.
BaguduThe Governor of Kebbi, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, on Friday felicitated with the people of the state and other Nigerians on the occasion of the New Year 2021.
The felicitation was contained in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Malam Yahaya Sarki, and made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi. x
Bagudu, who is also the Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, noted that 2020 was a very challenging year as a result of a myriad of “unpalatable events and occurrences that had devastating socioeconomic and health impacts on Nigerians’’.

The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja, on Friday, rejected an application the Federal Government filed to be allowed to mask all the witnesses that are billed to testify against convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Mr Omoleye Sowore, and his co-Defendant, Olawole Bakare.
Sowore, who was the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress, AAC, in the last general election and Bakare are answering to an amended two-count treasonable felony charge.
The Defendants were alleged to have conspired to stage a revolution campaign on August 5, 2019, tagged “#Revolution Now”, aimed at removing President Muhammadu Buhari from office as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria during his term of office, otherwise than by constitutional means.
