JD(U) parliamentary board chairman Upendra Kushwaha at Valmikinagar on Saturday
PATNA/BAGAHA: JD(U) parliamentary board chairman and former Union minister Upendra Kushwaha on Saturday asked the workers of the party to derive political mileage out of the internal conflicts plaguing the opposition parties in the state.
Launching his ‘yatra’ from Valmikinagar in West Champaran, Kushwaha said it was a good sign that the opposition parties were facing bickering from within, leaving ample scope for the JD(U) to strengthen its support base.
He claimed that several leaders of the opposition parties, including LJP, were ready to switch sides. “We have avowed to strengthen our organization at grassroots level and place the JD(U) at the top,” Kushwaha said, adding the party believed in the ideology of social justice.
