Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places over most parts of the island in the evening or night. Heavy falls about 100 mm can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa, Central, Western and North-western provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Central, Sabaragamuwa and Western provinces during the morning.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Photo / Supplied Trade promotion agency NZTE says its employment of the man who headed an aircraft maker fined for breaching United Nations sanctions by indirectly exporting replacement parts to North Korea considered his extensive experience of running an export business.
Damian Camp was chief executive of Hamilton-based Pacific Aerospace when it pleaded guilty in 2017 to three breaches of the UN sanctions against North Korea and one charge under the Customs and Excise Act.
He left Pacific Aerospace in 2019 after 12 years as chief executive. He is now an NZTE customer manager for specialised manufacturing, a job he s held since September.

Motorists are urged to take extra car on the roads as strong winds blast parts of Central Hawke s Bay.
Police units patrolling the plains issued a warning for those travelling through the region, having noted strong winds.
A strong wind warning has been in place since Monday morning for areas north of Wairarapa and Tararua District, including around Dannevirke.

PHUKET: The Phuket Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA) has announced that the mains water supply will be shut off in Kathu on Wednesday (Apr 7)

The mains water supply will be shut off from 9am until work is completed on upgrading the water distribution system at the Bang Wad water producing station, said the announcement.
The areas to be affected by the water outage are along Wichit Songkram Rd, from the PWA office to Soi Banpot.
According to the notice, the areas include Soi Saithong, Soi Kathu Police Station, Soi Kathu Waterfall, Golden Villa 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 housing estate, Soi Kathu 4 and 6, and Hopeland housing estate.
