DOVER, Del. – Two men are behind bars after they were found in possession of guns and marijuana during a traffic stop.
At around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, officers stopped a vehicle in the area of S. DuPont Highway and Lotus Street. During the stop, officers detected the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, and a subsequent search led to the discovery of two handguns and 3.9 grams of marijuana.
Further investigation revealed that both handguns had been reported stolen. One was reported stolen with the Dover Police Department and the other with Delaware State Police Troop 3.

DOVER, Del. – A Dover man was arrested on Tuesday following two separate burglaries.
At around 2:20 a.m., officers responded to the Valero gas station located at 530 N. DuPont Highway for a burglary alarm. When officers arrived on scene, they noticed a window had been shattered to the business. Surveillance footage showed the suspect, identified as 22-year-old Kyle Batson, entering the business and stealing cash and cigarettes from the store. A witness told police they saw Batson jumping into a dumpster.
Batson was located and arrested on third degree burglary, theft under $1500, and criminal mischief charges. He was released on his own recognizance.
