The heist drama is the most successful French original in Netflix s history and was watched by a whopping 70 million households in the first month. Just like the titular Lupin, the series hid in plain sight when it was added to the January line-up and now set a global record for a French series. Lupin is inspired by Arsène Lupin also known as the Gentleman Burglar, a character created by Maurice Leblanc.
