TINICUM TOWNSHIP, PA A crash in Delaware County killed a 12-year-old girl and injured six others, including an infant, over the weekend, according to Pennsylvania State Police.
The crash occurred at about 11:40 a.m. Saturday on Interstate 95 north in Tinicum Township near Exit 9, state police said.
Both the 12-year-old girl and the driver, 27-year-old Cynthia Rodriguez from Woodlyn, were ejected from the vehicle when Rodriguez lost control and crashed, according to state police.

Rodriguez was taken to a hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries, police said.

WARWICK TOWNSHIP, PA A Florida man who killed another man in a 2019 head-on crash while driving a neon green Camaro under the influence was sentenced to four to 12 years today in Chester County Court of Common Pleas.
Chester County Judge Patrick Carmody on May 3 sentenced Robbie Wharton IV, 27, of Freeport, Fla., to serve four to 12 years in prison after Wharton pleaded guilty to Homicide by Vehicle While Driving Under the Influence. His actions caused the death of Dominique Jennings, 25, in November 2019 in Chester County s Warwick Township, the Chester County District Attorney s Office said.

A Black Pennsylvania State Police trooper said in a federal lawsuit Monday that the department’s Greensburg barracks is rife with racism toward its employees and the public it serves and that its leaders have done nothing to stop it.
Among his experiences, Trooper Tavin Davis said a garden gnome was hung by duct tape like a noose outside his locker.
“This symbol was used to intimidate, harass and subject Mr. Davis to the most hostile of environments,” the lawsuit said.
