The elections of deputies to the 15th National Assembly (NA) and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2021-2026 tenure are an important political event of Vietnam and a festival of its people.
Preparations for election day on May 23 have now been basically completed.
Preparations are being made in agencies at all levels, sectors, and localities. NA General Secretary and Head of the NA Office Bui Van Cuong said that inspection and supervision activities show that preparations have closely followed the directive from the Politburo as well as the plans and orders within the law on the election of National Assembly and People’s Council deputies and the National Election Council (NEC)’s resolution.

Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong meets voters in Hanoi
ABO/NDO – Candidates running for seats in the 15th National Assembly (NA) of Hanoi s constituency No. 1, including Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, on May 8 held a meeting with local voters in Ba Dinh, Dong Da and Hai Ba Trung districts in both in-person and online forms.
After listening to voters’ opinions and aspirations, the candidates pledged that if selected, they will work hard and regularly meet people to understand their aspirations.
