A few days ago, while looking for information about the Italian master Mario Monticelli (winner of Budapest 1926 and winner of a famous game against Bogoljubov in San Remo 1930), I found an article about a game that Monticelli played a Ramac 305, an IBM computer, in Milan in 1960 (!).
The IBM 305 RAMAC was the first commercial computer to use a moving-head hard disk drive (magnetic disk storage) as secondary storage. The system was publicly announced on 14 September 1956, with test units already installed in the U.S. Navy and private companies. RAMAC stood for Random Access Method of Accounting and Control, as its development was motivated by the need for real-time accounting in business.
Hungary Increases Pfizer Purchases to Over 10 Million
Hungary has expanded the number of Pfizer BioNtech vaccines it is contracted to purchase to 10,870,000 doses from 6.5 million, the chief medical officer said on Monday.
Cecília Müller also told a regular online press conference that a large shipment of Russia’s Sputnik V containing 100,000 doses of the vaccine’s first component and 180,000 doses of the second one is on its way to Budapest.

Jaguar Land Rover is working with Tier 2, 3 and 4 suppliers to prevent a shortage of automotive microchips hitting production.
LONDON Jaguar Land Rover production has not yet been hit by the global shortage of semiconductors after it negotiated directly with suppliers, CEO Thierry Bollore said.
Automakers, who are slowly ramping up production after coronavirus lockdowns, have seen their output affected by a shortage in chips as suppliers shifted their focus towards industries that have not been hit as hard by COVID-19, such as makers of smartphones and gaming devices.
