Jammu and Kashmir: Magisterial inquiry ordered into death of COVID patient in Poonch JAMMU: Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir”s Poonch district on Saturday ordered a magisterial inquiry into the death of a 65-year-old COVID-19 patient after her relatives alleged medical negligence by doctors during her treatment. Poonch District Magistrate Inder Jeet ordered the inquiry and asked the inquiry officer, Additional Deputy Commissioner Basharat Hussain, to submit his report within seven days, officials said. In an order, the DM said a video went viral on social media after the woman, a resident of Mangnar village of Haveli Tehsil, succumbed to COVID-19 at Poonch district hospital on Friday with her relatives accusing the hospital authorities of negligence in handling the case.

DC Poonch reviews COVID-19 control measures in District

Share Poonch: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Inder Jeet today chaired a meeting to review the control measures in view of rise in Corona Virus cases. The meeting, in consonance with government guidelines, decided to take strong measures to enforce SoPs including social distancing and using of masks. The Deputy Commissioner expressed grave concern over the surge in COVID-19 cases in the District and asked the concerned not to show any laxity in enforcing protocols. The Deputy Commissioner discussed the status of ongoing vaccination drive in the District.
