About 34,400 AEP-SWEPCO customers still without power

SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) About 34,400 AEP-SWEPCO customers still are without power as a result of the winter storm that dumped heavy, wet snow on the ArkLaTex, the utility’s website shows.
That’s down from nearly 60,000 early Monday morning and about 55,000 overnight.
The current outages impact 16,295 of the utility’s customers in Texas and 18,073 in Louisiana. AEP-SWEPCO estimates that it will have service restored to most of those Louisiana customers by 10 p.m. Tuesday and to its customers in Texas by 10 p.m. Wednesday.
