According to the Times, Johnson is currently somewhat short of money. He reportedly remortgaged the Camberwell townhouse after having had to pay for the controversial revamp of the Number 11 Downing Street flat. The paper states that having been hit with an invoice for the flat refurbishment, the PM has now taken out a buy-to-let mortgage on the south London house, which he owns with First Fiancée Carrie Symonds.
