A nationally known celebrity chef known as “Lord of the Pies” who owns restaurants in Westchester and Fairfield counties will spend time behind bars after admitting to not paying taxes.
Bruno DiFabio, age 51, of Ridgefield, was sentenced on Thursday, May 6 to 30 days in prison, followed by three years of supervised release after pleading guilty to a federal tax offense in 2018.
Specifically, DiFabio pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to file false income tax returns and payroll tax returns.

OLD GREENWICH, Conn. (AP) Ellington Residential Mortgage REIT (EARN) on Monday reported first-quarter net income of $127,000, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Old Greenwich, Connecticut-based company said it had profit of 1 cent per share. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were 31 cents per share.
The residential mortgage real estate investment trust posted revenue of $5.8 million in the period.
Ellington Residential shares have fallen 3% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Monday, shares hit $12.63, a climb of 43% in the last 12 months.
