Editor s note: The entry associated with the Public Servant category, published last week, has been updated to reflect a correction in the nature of the Joe Burrow Hunger Relief Fund. The fund supports the efforts of the Athens County Food Pantry, which also created the fund in partnership with the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio.

OâBleness Memorial Hospital
A new category this year, âAdherence to COVID-19 protocolâ top honors go to OhioHealth OâBleness Memorial hospital. Taking home second place is Seamanâs Cardinal Super Market, and third place goes to Athens Eye Care.
AUBURN â May will be Pink Out Month in Auburn, Mayor Mike Ley proclaimed in a ceremony Tuesday.
The Alpha Pi Chapter of Tri Kappa will sponsor events throughout the month to promote awareness and early detection of breast cancer.
Activities will include Dine 2 Donate events on May 11 at Mad Anthony s Tap Room and May 13 at The Italian Grille.
A Dessert 2 Donate event is scheduled for May 20 at Classic City Cookies, with pre-orders due by May 17.
The Brown House will donate to Pink Out through its Pints for Purpose program. A portion of the proceeds from ice cream pint sales will go toward Pink Out. Flavors include strawberry, âPound Cake Piecesâ and pink sprinkles for $6 per pint.

A rare piece of art created by late Grateful Dead guitarist Jerry Garcia became available as a non-fungible token, or NFT, on Wednesday, May 5, to coincide with the 56th anniversary of the first time the band played together, as the Warlocks, at Magoo’s Pizza Parlor in Menlo Park in 1965.
The one-of-a-kind digital piece titled “Gift” was created by Garcia in 1990 and is being released by the Jerry Garcia Foundation, which is run by his fourth wife, Manasha Garcia (nee Matheson), and youngest daughter, Keelin. It is available for auction on the peer-to-peer SuperRare website, with carbon offsetting by a company called Aerial.
